DSU holds literary day; GMS NMHK organises TLM exhibition

As part of academic and extracurricular activities, Dapfütsumia Students Union (DSU) organised literary day on July 22 while Government Middle School (GMS) New Ministers’ Hill Kohima (NMHK) organised its first Science and Teacher Learning Material (TLM) exhibition under Nagaland Literacy and Numeracy Fest 2023 on July 21.
DSU: The literary day was held under the motto, “Strive for Knowledge” at Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire GHSS, Seikhazou on July 22.
Special Guest assistant director, Directorate of School Education Visetonuo Kire in her speech encouraged the students to contribute towards the preservation and continuation of the culture for future generations. Reminding the students that self-sufficiency and dignity of labour were important aspects of forefathers’ legacy, Kire encouraged them to work hard and earn their living through honest means.
She further reminded them that respecting elders, obeying parents, and practicing good behavior were essential parts of the cultural heritage. Earlier, DSU president Mhasituo Kire delivered the welcome address and vote of thanks by Kekhrieneinuo Sachü. The programme was earlier blessed with invocation by CRC New Market pastor, Kikruneilie Yiese and a special number by Nourhengunuo Kire. (Correspondent)
GMS NMHK: With the aim of developing Scientific temper among the students, GMS New Ministers’ Hill Kohima (NMHK) organised its first Science and Teacher Learning Material (TLM) exhibition under Nagaland Literacy and Numeracy Fest 2023, on the theme “Magical Basket” at the school premises. The exhibition explored diverse topics ranging from biology to physics, from chemistry to technology and from environmental studies to engineering.
All the teachers with their teaching material exhibited their classroom environment to the visitors. Officials from SDEO Kohima, EBRC L Khel along with SMC members and parents of the New Ministers’ Hill attended the occasion.
