DSU inaugurates stateof the art CSST facility

Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) officially inaugurated the state of the art Centre for Space and Science and Technology (CSST) facility on October 26. The centre was inaugurated by padmashri Prof. R.M. Vasagam, chancellor of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, Chennai and chancellor of Karpagam University, Coimbatore as the esteemed chief guest.


The inauguration ceremony also attended by Dr. D. Premchandra Sagar, pro-chancellor, DSU; Rohan Prem Sagar, member BOG, DSU; Dr. K N B Murthy, vice chancellor and other enthusiastic faculty members and students from School of Engineering (SOE).


DSU has also opened a new frontiers in Space Innovation and established CSST at its city innovative campus, Kudlu Gate Bangalore, to encourage Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) for engineering students to become involved in designing, implementing and testing a real functioning spacecraft system.


In a press release, DSU informed that the city innovative campus has been equipped with essential infrastructure including a cutting-edge cleanroom of class, comprehensive mechanical lab and a dedicated testing area, providing an exclusive environment for students to excel in space technology. The university has also plans to develop a fully-fledged space complex with state of the art facilities at the DSU main campus , Harohalli.
