Chairman of District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) and Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome, has launched the official website of District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) and gave away certificates to nine tobacco free schools during the review meeting at Deputy Commissioner (DC) conference hall on March 23.
Addressing the meeting, Yhome encouraged the schools and institutions to strive harder and set an example to others saying certificate was not the end in itself but a new beginning.
During the meeting various agendas pertaining to observation of World No Tobacco Day 2015, mandatory display of signboard and signage and reporting of offences were discussed. The meeting also decided to strengthen enforcement of COTPA in the district.
