District Task Force (DTF) for Covid-19 Longleng has issued restrictions for strict implementation in Longleng district, with a view to break the chain of transmission and prevent the surge of Covid-19 case in the district.
According to DIPR report, the DTF has warned any person/group of persons acting in violation of the directions as well as all the other existing orders/ SOPs/ guidelines for preventing the spread of Covid-19, shall be liable to be prosecuted under relevant Sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides action under Section 188 of IPC and other legal provisions as applicable.
The restrictions are as follows: (I). Any student of class-IX and above, who has completed 15 years of age shall be allowed to attend regular/offline classes, only if he/she has taken at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19.
(ii). Teachers and staffs shall be allowed to hold regular/offline classes in educational institutions, only if he/she has taken at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19 and / or produce Covid-19 negative test report done through RT-PCR/True Nat CBNAAT with the swab given for testing once in every 15 (fifteen) days
(iii) Heads of educational institutions should ensure strict adherence of para (i) and para (ii) and submit status report in this regard to the chairman DTF, Longleng. Further reopening of educational institutions shall be permitted only after due verification by the DTF for Covid-19, Longleng and on receipt of NOC from the chairman DTF, Longleng.
(iv). Bank customers may perhaps be allowed entry inside the bank, if he/she has taken at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19 and / or produce Covid-19 negative test report done through RT-PCR/True Nat/CBNAAT with the swab given for testing not earlier than 3 days from the date of entry inside the bank.
(v). Seat tickets for passengers’ vehicles – bus/sumo/taxi shall be issued to commuters, only if he/she has taken at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19 and/or produce Covid-19 negative test report done through RT-PCR /True Nat/CBNAAT with the swab given for testing not earlier than three days from the date of travel.
Earlier, Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) at its meeting held on January 15, decided to restrict unvaccinated citizens from travelling and restrict entry to the banks and educational institutions in an attempt to achieve cent percent Covid vaccination.
