DTF Longleng prepares for National Immunization Day

In view of the National Immunization Day (NID) for Pulse Polio Immunization scheduled to be held on March 3, Longleng District Task Force (DTF) for Immunization held a meeting on February 28 at the Longleng District Planning and Developmental Board (DPDB) Meeting Hall.
A press release by the department informed that Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Longleng, Dr. Tiasunep requested everyone present at the meeting to disseminate awareness to the public about the polio campaign.


DPO(RCH/UIP) Longleng, Dr. Imnameren Phom highlighted the activities and the challenges to achieving quality immunization coverage in the district. He called upon all the NGOs and stakeholders for support in achieving the target percentage.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Longleng, Dharam Raj, appealed to all members to mobilize as well as spread the awareness of the importance of immunization to help children get the vaccine.
He also urged all the village council chairman and ward president to inform and mobilize in their respective villages and colonies to ensure all children from 0–5 years get the vaccine during the campaign.
