
The District Task Force (DTF) led by its chairman deputy commissioner Mokokchung visited the quarantine centre at Impur, Monday. The quarantine center will be managed by the Ao Baptist Churches Association (ABAM) in collaboration with the district administration. The centre at Impur will be able to host about 200 returnees where the ABAM will provide full sets of bedding like coils, mattresses etc. besides providing food free of cost to the returnees.
Hectic preparations were seen today like preparation of beds, toilets and other constructions while the Impur community conducted social work by way of cleaning the surroundings around the centre. Expressing satisfaction at the centre at Impur, the deputy commissioner Limawapang Jamir conveyed his gratefulness to the ABAM for extending their help and services.
He also called upon all to maintain this spirit and continue to be amongst us as we fight the COVID-19 pandemic. DC later went around all the 6 buildings and personally inspected all the rooms.
