DTO Tuensang closed following demolition order

DIMAPUR: District Transport Office (DTO), Tuensang has notified that in compliance with Emergency Demolition Order No. DC TSG/DDMA/2021 22/308 dated July 23, 2026, issued by the Deputy Commissioner and chairman DDMA Tuensang, the office building of the DTO Tuensang has been declared structurally unsafe and prone to collapse due to incessant rainfall and landslides.
The order directed its emergency demolition to avert disaster. In this regard, the DTO Tuensang informed the general public that the office will remain closed with effect from July 24, 2026, until further notice. All motor vehicle related services including issuance of driving licences, vehicle registration, tax collection, permits and other public services will remain suspended during this period.
