DUCCF condemns armed robbery of woman in Dimapur

Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) has expressed deep concern and strongly condemned the April 13 incident, in which a woman was allegedly robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight near her residence in Dimapur.
In a condemnation note, DUCCF said Abigail, wife of Sungjemtoshi of Aokong Colony, was targeted in the incident, which it termed as deeply disturbing and a serious threat to public safety and security.
The federation said an FIR has been lodged at West Police Station and urged law enforcement authorities to take swift and decisive action to apprehend the perpetrators at the earliest.
DUCCF unequivocally condemned the incident, stating that such acts have no place in a peaceful society, and called upon the authorities to strengthen security measures and ensure that justice is delivered promptly. It also appealed to citizens to remain vigilant, cooperative and proactive in safeguarding their neighbourhoods while supporting efforts to maintain law and order. DUCCF expressed solidarity with the victim and her family during the difficult time.
