Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation (DUCCF) has backed the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) over its demand for the better roads and bridges in and Dimapur. DUCCF president Tsenthungo Lotha in a press statement demanded that the state government to take up immediate repair of roads which has been totally neglected for many years.
He maintained that the road condition in and around Dimapur was in a deplorable condition where not only vehicles but even pedestrians cannot walk in the roads due to stagnant water.
In view of the above, DUCCF urged the government to take up the work on war footing.
DUCCF has also appealed to the medial department to be alert and monitor the situation as there was possibility of epidemic to occur due to flood season. The forum also extended appreciation to state government for providing relief to the flood affected people in Dimapur.
Further, DUCCF acknowledged the state government for releasing the final payment of INSITU to the public of Dimapur.
