DUDA hands over college bus to YGC

Department of Underdeveloped Areas (DUDA) handed over college bus to Yingli Government College (YGC) at the directorate office of DUDA on March 8, 2021.

According to DIPR report, during a short handing-taking over programme, minister of higher education and tribal affairs, Temjen Imna Along said that the gesture of DUDA would encourage the student community so also would be an added fillip in supporting the college administration.

Advisor DUDA, N. Bongkhao Konyak stated that DUDA was committed to ensuring that educational development in the five backward districts of eastern Nagaland was galvanised and that the department would ensure tangible achievements were met with various programmes so as to address the intra-district imbalances.

It may be noted that the DUDA is focused on human resource development so as to bring a transformative change in the backward areas through state anchored programmes. The college bus was procured from the underdeveloped areas programme (UDAP) during 2020-21.
