Dimapur Government College Students Council (DGCSC) has prohibited dumping of waste near the wall of Dimapur Government College adjacent to directorate of Food and Civil Supplies.
In a press release, DGCSU general secretary, Tokishe Zhimo and vice president, Lumvila Sangtam said despite repeated warnings by the authorities through media, posters/banners, people continue to dump waste near the college wall.
To address the issue, a joint meeting between DGCSU with the community of Hillyview and Oriental Colony was conducted on July 5. Henceforth, DGCSU warned that strict action will be initiated against anyone found dumping near the said area in coordination with the colony councils.
