Durga Puja ends with immersion in Dimapur

Durga Puja celebrations in Dimapur concluded Wednesday with the immersion of idols at the Dhansiri River, drawing thousands of devotees and onlookers.
The city witnessed colourful processions from various puja pandals, accompanied by devotional songs, beating of traditional drums and dance performances, as devotees carried the idols to the immersion sites.
In line with strict guidelines issued by Hindu Samaj Dimapur, security personnel and volunteers were deployed along key routes and immersion points to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Organisers and devotees told Nagaland Post that the festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm, while also noting that no untoward incident occurred during the celebrations.
