District Welfare Office (DWO) Kohima has informed all beneficiaries of Old Age Pension, Widow Pension and Disabled Pension under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) in Kohima District, inclusive of Tseminyu sub-division, to compulsorily open bank accounts in any nationalized bank, i.e. Nagaland State Co-Operative Bank, Rural Bank or Post Office to receive their pension benefits through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for those residing within the banking/postal coverage areas and submit a photo copy of bank account book front page to the district welfare office Kohima. The release of funds under NSAP will be contingent upon direct benefit transfer with effect from April 1. In the event of lapses due to failure to comply with this notification by the beneficiaries, the office under the department of social welfare will not be held responsible.
