Deputy chief minister, Y. Patton, has congratulated Lieutenant Wanmai Kheang, son of K. L. Nyamnyei and Bejem Konyak of Changlangshu Village, Mon district, and an alumnus of G. Rio Higher Secondary School, Kohima, on being commissioned into the Indian Army.
Patton said Wanmai completed his cadet training, and has been granted the rank of Lieutenant on March 8, 2025 at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.
Lieutenant Kheang’s achievement brings pride not only to his family but also to the people of Nagaland.
His dedication, discipline, and perseverance in reaching this milestone will serve as an encouragement to many young individuals who aspire to serve the nation, Patton said.
Patton further conveyed best wishes to Lieutenant Kheang as he embarks on this new journey.
