Dzükou wild fire: operation continues

Though there was no report of fresh smoke or fire spotted in Dzükou valley in the last two-days, the fire ground operation team continued to assess and monitor the situation. According to DIPR, the ground operation team led by SDO, Kohima Daniel Angami informed that SAYO volunteers and NDRF monitor the situation beyond the last ridge of the valley where the fire line cutting was carried out earlier. The team reported that in one location low intensity smoke was visible with no fire where IAF helicopter carried out the operation. Meanwhile, Kohima DDMA informed that partial de-induction of ground operation team will be carried out on January 11 by deploying effective number of forces to monitor the situation and carry out necessary operation.
