E-Naga Summit 2023 held

The 9th edition of Naga e-summit 2023 was held under the theme, ‘Digital Frontier: Exploring Opportunities in Emerging Tech’, organised by directorate of Information Technology & Communication at its conference hall, here on Thursday.


In his address, special guest, advisor of Information Technology & Communications and Economics & Statistics, Sethrongkyu Sangtam said in the fast-evolving landscape of the digital age, the link between governance and technology was more important than ever.
He said technology has a profound impact on the lives of the citizens, the growth of economy, and the overall well-being of the society.


He said the theme encapsulated not just the spirit of innovation but also the responsibility to bear to harness the opportunities that emerge on this digital frontier for the greater good.


“As we embark on this expedition into the unexplored realms of emerging technologies, let us embrace the spirit of pioneers. Let us be fearless in the face of the unknown and relentless in our pursuit of knowledge,” Sangtam said.


He thanked IT department for fostering an environment where dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing were thriving.
Sangtam added that the collective efforts today would shape the narrative of progress for generations to come. He also wished the summit a grand success.


In a short address, secretary, IT&C, Mohammed Ali Shihab, said India was one of the leading countries in innovation and technology.
He added that when taking the scenario of Nagaland, it was one of the vibrant and dynamic states in the country which was growing at a rapid rate.


He pointed out that although the state was facing many challenges in delivering good governance and development it was also progressing in many other sectors.
He also pointed out that by 2047 India was getting ready to declare itself a developed country and therefore Nagaland should also explore all opportunities and get ready to part of that declaration in every sense especially in the digital frontier.


A short remark was also made by a representative from Software Technology Parks of India (STPI). Earlier, welcome note and keynote address was delivered by director, IT&C Er Sabou Yashü while vote of thanks was delivered by addl director, Er Asono Mor. Later in the afternoon sessions on knowledge, change and pitching were also held.
