Eagle Crest Training Academy & Consultancy (ECTAAC) on Friday inaugurated its extended campus at Eagle Crest Institute – East Campus, Middle Colony, Purana Bazar, Dimapur.
The launch coincided with a Mega Hospitality Job Fair organized under the Chief Minister’s flagship programme — Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM).
The event aimed to connect skilled youth with employers in the hospitality and tourism sector. Representatives from major companies like ITC, Treebo, MMA, Deltin, Oberoi, HR India Overseas, Volume, and international recruitment agencies interacted with job seekers.
Advisor to the Chief Minister and chairman of the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Abu Metha, attended as chief guest. In his keynote address, Metha said NSEDM was launched as part of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio’s vision to skill Naga youth and create employment opportunities. He emphasized merit-based success and encouraged students to work hard, stay focused, and believe in themselves.
He stated that today’s youth are fortunate to have access to the internet and modern technology, which can empower them to face any challenge. Metha called knowledge the strongest tool, surpassing power or money, and advised youth to use social media wisely and responsibly. He urged them to fact-check information before sharing and to be sensitive while communicating online.
Touching upon Nagaland’s past image, Metha said that with positivity, success stories, and excellence, the youth could change public perception. He also acknowledged the role of Nagaland’s youth in shaping a new future for the state, saying the government was committed to supporting their dreams.
Metha quoted Nelson Mandela saying, “It always seems impossible until it’s done,” and added that Nagaland’s youth were brave, aware, and ready to build a stronger state. He announced SKILL loans ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 with 25% subsidy, along with support for entrepreneurs under the Chief Minister’s Microfinance Scheme. He said the goal of the Skill Mission was to employ 5,000 youth in its first year. Corporate partners were invited to experience Nagaland’s rich culture and hospitality. Metha described Nagas as warm-hearted people, proud contributors to national development across fields like defense, bureaucracy, arts, and sports.
The event also featured ribbon cutting by the chief guest and speeches by industry partners. Earlier, the program was chaired by ECTAAC Soft Skills Trainer and Editor-in-Chief Ayani Kikon. Alem Yaden from World Impact Community Church led the invocation, while ECTAAC CEO Temjenkala Aier delivered the welcome address. Amongla Aier from Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo gave the benediction.
ECTAAC’s expanded campus and the job fair mark a step forward in empowering local youth and building a skilled workforce that can take Nagaland to greater heights.
