
An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 in the Richter scale hit parts of Nagaland and the North Eastern region on Monday wee hours at around 12.57 a.m.
According to National Center for Seismology report, the epicentre was located at Hkamti district, Sagaing Region of Myanmar, 61 km southeast of Phek district. The earthquake struck at a depth of 82 km.
Buildings and structures shook but there were no serious damages to property or casualty till the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter Scale hit 70km NW of Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday around 3 p.m. with the epicentre near Tezu, in Arunachal Pradesh
