A mock exercise simulating an earthquake disaster was conducted on October 10 at the New DC Office Complex, Tuensang, jointly organised by the 12 BN National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Tuensang, and the District administration.
The drill included scenarios of fire outbreak, building collapse, search and rescue operations, and evacuation procedures. It was conducted as a preparatory measure to enhance disaster response coordination and readiness.
Participating agencies included Home Guard & Civil Defence, SDRF Tuensang, Fire and Emergency Services Tuensang, District Executive Force (DEF) Tuensang, DPRO Tuensang, Medical Department, and NCC Tuensang.
During the debriefing session, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, expressed appreciation to all departments for their active participation and execution of assigned responsibilities.
Following the exercise, NDRF personnel conducted a brief hands-on training session for NCC cadets.
