East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has issued a directive to all shopkeepers, business owners and commercial establishments within its jurisdiction to use “East Dimapur Town” as part of their official address on shop signboards, display boards and business signage. In a press release, EDTC informed that all concerned have been instructed to clearly mention their respective Ward Number (1 to 11) along with the address on the signage for proper identification and systematic address usage.
The Council stated that proper use of address indicating East Dimapur Town along with the ward number would help improve administrative records, service delivery, postal communication and overall town management.
It further directed that all shop and business owners must comply with the order on or before March 31, 2026. EDTC cautioned that strict action would be taken against defaulters failing to adhere to the directive.
