East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has informed all street vendors and stall owners under its jurisdiction that a new fee collection system would be implemented effective from September 1.
A press release by EDTC stated that all vendors are required to pay a designated fee of Rs. 30 and Rs. 50, respectively for usage of public places, noting that the fee was mandatory and non-compliance would result in penalties including possibility of losing right to operate within the area.
