Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Dimapur (ENPUD) holds general session; inducts new team

Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Dimapur (ENPUD) held its 28th general session on February 24 at Konyak Paan, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur.
In a press release, ENPUD media cell stated that while addressing the gathering, administrator, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), W Manpai Phom, asserted that the eastern people residing in Dimapur have access to modern facilities and better infrastructure, unlike those living in villages.
Therefore, he encouraged the members to break free from the “backward tag mentality” and strive to move forward, not only in competitive exams, but also in various other fields.
He also thanked the outgoing team of ENPUD for their sacrifices, and encouraged them to continue to extend support to the new team.
The programme chaired by C Kiuthsang Yimkhiung and Likhumla Sangatam began with an invocation by Konyak Baptist Fellowship Borlengri, Pastor Yokkai. Keynote and welcome address were delivered by ENPUD president, L Shahoto, and a special number was presented by Chang Student’s Union Dimapur.
Meanwhile, a new team of office bearers were inducted for the tenure of 2024-2027, with NT Thamlong as president and M Kumchuba as general secretary.
