DIMAPUR, JUN 30 (NPN): Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched ECINET, a comprehensive digital platform that integrates a wide range of electoral services under a single interface, making voter-related services more accessible online.
In a press release, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland, Bhagyashree Banayat, said ECINET is available through a web portal and a mobile application on Android and iOS devices.
The platform allows electors to register as voters, correct electoral roll entries, change their residence, replace their Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC), register as overseas electors, track application status, search electoral details, download e-EPICs, and access contact details of electoral officers.
As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, electors can fill and submit Enumeration Forms online and verify whether their names are included in the electoral roll prepared during the last SIR.
To improve citizen engagement, ECINET features a “Book a Call with BLO” option, enabling electors to directly connect with their respective booth level officers (BLOs) for assistance and clarification. It also provides an online facility to file appeals against decisions of the electoral registration officer, wherever applicable.
Integrated with the National Grievance Redressal System, the platform allows citizens to lodge complaints, submit suggestions and track grievance status. Banayat said ECINET would improve accessibility, efficiency, transparency and citizen participation in the electoral process.
