Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Abhijit Sinha, has informed that the Election Commission of India (ECI) officials led by Chief Election Commissioner, A. K. Jyoti is scheduled to arrive at Nagaland (November 27) on a two-day visit and will be meeting leaders of various political parties.
Sinha informed that the meeting with the state political parties will be held at hotel Japfu, Kohima, on November 27. After the meeting, a presentation will be made by CEO’s and police nodal officer followed by another presentation from DEOs and SPs.
On November 28, the EC officials will hold two meetings, first with the chief secretary and DGP, followed by another meeting with other officials.
The Election Commission team led by the CEC, two election commissioners, one deputy election commissioner, two director generals and one director will review the poll preparedness for the forthcoming 2018 general elections.
