Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu (president NPF Central) has been directed by the Election Commission of India(ECI) to file his reply latest by February 16,2015 to a petition filed by NPF(Noke) party leaders-Nuzota Swuro working president and Noke Wangnao president- seeking recognition of the Noke-led NPF as the “original NPF”.
A press release issued by Nuzota disclosed, that the petition was filed on January 22 before the ECI and it took cognisance of the petition on Tuesday. He said ECI further informed that in the event Dr.Shürhozelie failed to reply within the stipulated time, the commission would presume he has nothing to submit and would then pass “appropriate orders without any further reference to him.”
Nuzota expressed appreciation of the acknowledgement of their petition by the ECI and opined that its prompt response was on the “merit of the case, as per precedents” set by ECI in similar cases.
