East Dimapur Business Association has extended its full support and cooperation to Dimapur Chambers of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and Hardware Merchants’ Association Dimapur (HMAD) against multiple taxation in a single product and also excess collection of toll at DMC gate by the lessee in the name of entry Tax.
EDBA president Atoka Zhimomi and vice president Azolo Nuh urged the state government to seriously look into the matter as businessmen and the public were suffering due to price rise.
While appreciating Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) for its prompt action by constituting a monitoring committee to look after toll issue, EDBA urged the administrator to publish the rates toll/entry tax in the local dailies along with product details for the convenient of the public. It also expressed gratitude to Naga Council (PAC) for showing their concern and taking up the matter seriously.
Meanwhile, EDBA has extended Durga Puja and Dussehra greetings to the Hindu community of Dimapur and informed all business establishments to open their shop till late evening and on Sunday during the festival for the convenient of the general public.
