East Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (EDSSU), which has been alleging backdoor appointments of four Land Records & Survey Officer (LRSO) and eight surveyor grade-I under the Land Record and Survey (LR&S) department, has renewed its demand for cancellation of all those appointments.
In a representation addressed to the secretary LR&S, the EDSSU president, Kanato S Awomi, and general secretary, Ato Achumi, stated that as per the second RTI revelation one among the four LRSOs appointed was an overage.
In this regard, the union stated that the department must act immediately as demanded.
EDSSU cautioned that failure on the part of the department would invite second phase of agitation.
