A press release issued by EDTC informed that such activity is strictly unauthorized and prohibited, adding that if any individual or group was found engaging in such collection, legal action shall be initiated as per relevant laws and regulations.
It further informed general public and vendors that a Weekly Market would be held at Daily Bazar, East Dimapur Town, starting from September 19, and thereafter on every Friday.
All vendors, both local and non-local, have been encouraged to participate and make the best use of this opportunity to sell and promote their products.
The council has thereby requested to take due note of the directive and extend full cooperation to the Town Council.
