East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has issued a directive requiring all wholesalers and suppliers operating within its jurisdiction to obtain a valid trading license or permit from the EDTC office with immediate effect. The council cautioned that failure to comply will be treated as a violation, and necessary action shall be initiated against defaulters. The order, it stated, has been issued in the interest of ensuring proper regulation, transparency, and accountability in commercial activities under EDTC’s jurisdiction. EDTC has urged all concerned parties to adhere to the directive to avoid penal consequences and to contribute towards a more structured and lawful trading environment.
