EKUM condemns attack; appeals public movement

Eastern Konyak Union Myanmar (EKUM) while strongly condemning the grenade attack on August 12 at Chenloisho village has appealed that the movement of innocent public were not restricted in border areas.

In a press release, Eastern Konyak Union Myanmar president, S A Khotai and general secretary,K Akham Honwang termed the attack, which injured an innocent civilian, as an act of cowardice.

EKUM said such activities in the heart of civilian place was not tolerable and that any political group or individual involved in the activity was only bringing harassment for the west and east Konyak public communities. 

The union further condemned the act as “brainless and immature” act of behaviour, and appealed all “Naga National leaders” to justify at the earliest. 

Meanwhile, Eastern Konyak Union Myanmar has further urged Chenloisho village not to restrain or restrict movement of innocent public as these people have to purchase basic needs from the border areas shops.
