Election observer for Pughoboto and Mon, Imjung M Panger secretary to the government of Nagaland, on Monday held a meeting with AEROs/supervisors/Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of 46-Mon town A/C and political parties of Mon district.
At the meeting, he urged upon the election officials to be careful and sincere in discharging their duties. He also urged the political parties to assist the ECI by convincing the public to file accurate details.
Further, the observer informed that the periods for claims and objections have been further extended till November 30, 2017 and that BLOs’ have been asked to visit house to house as special drive from November 15 to 30.
Meanwhile, during the discussion hour, DC Mon W.Honje Konyak emphasized that the BLOs should physically verify the electors, who were above 80 years of age and strictly adhere to the guidelines of the ECI by using the format issued by the ECI, while filling their details. He also suggested that the BLOs to make correction, if necessary.
