A meeting of all election observers with ADC & DEO, Avelu Ruho, and SDPO, Atu Zumvu under 13-A/C Pughoboto was held at the ADC’s office Chambers on February 21.
DIPR said that the meeting deliberated law and order situation besides deployment of forces to all the 33 polling stations in 24 villages. A total of 6 CAPF companies, 1 CRPF, and 5 BSF, 1 IRB company and 1 coy 8th NAP have been assigned for smooth conduct of the elections. Police observer, Rakesh Gupta, general observer, Mahesh I. Patel, expenditure observer, Upinderbir Singh, and others security officers attended the meeting.
Tuensang: Training for Tuensang district Micro Observers on conduct of the general election was held on February 21 at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang.
Mokokchung: A programme for distribution of voter slips for 29 Jangpetkong and 30 Alongtaki assembly constituencies was held at ADC’s Conference Hall, Mangkolemba on February 20.
DIPR reported that BLOs of the two constituencies were also given brochures, voter slip receipt register, poster and banner for SVEEP & VVPAT at the programme.
