ENPO appeals against taxation on road projects

Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) has appealed to all individuals and groups to refrain from “collecting undue taxation and unnecessary deductions” from the ongoing road project between Changtongya and Longleng.
While pointing out that road communication is the backbone for any human development, ENPO said that Longleng was one of the important gateways for the people of Eastern Nagaland that connects with the rest of the state including neighboring Assam.
Therefore, ENPO said that it was the desire of the people for the project to be completed at the earliest and sought co-operation from all concerned.
Meanwhile, ENPO cautioned contractors/firms carrying out works within Eastern Nagaland, that it would not compromise on quality workmanship.
