Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO), representing the eight tribes of Chang, Eastern Sumi, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, Tikhir, and Yimkhiung, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Narendra Modi on being sworn in for a third term as the 16th Prime Minister of India.
In a statement, ENPO praised Modi’s achievement as a reflection of his unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and the immense trust he has garnered from millions of Indians. It highlighted India’s rich cultural heritage and its significant role in shaping neighboring civilizations, recognizing Modi’s contributions to enhancing the nation’s global stature.
“Your commitment to India’s development, both on the domestic and global stage, continues to inspire and uplift countless lives,” stated ENPO and lauded Modi’s transformative vision and tireless efforts that have driven India towards unprecedented growth and prosperity.
ENPO expressed confidence in the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) continued leadership under Modi, anticipating further strengthening of democratic institutions and the promotion of citizens’ well-being. It conveyed the hopes of the tribes that under Modi’s dynamic leadership, the people of Eastern Nagaland would see greater inclusion and participation in the nation’s progress.
ENPO also emphasized the longstanding neglect and marginalization of Eastern Nagaland, describing it as one of the most underdeveloped regions in the country. ENPO voiced its hope that Modi’s administration would address these socio-economic and political disparities, ensuring that the region’s development needs are met and its citizens are integrated into the broader narrative of national progress.
