ENPO, political leaders reaffirm commitment to MoA

DIMAPUR, JUN 2 (NPN): Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) convened a consultative meeting with political leaders from various parties on June 2 at the ENPO Conference Hall, Tuensang, where office bearers of national, state and district/regional-level political parties hailing from Eastern Nagaland attended.
According to ENPO media cell, the meeting was briefed on the status of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed on February 5, 2026, between Government of India, State government and ENPO. After deliberations, the house unanimously resolved to uphold the MoA and remain fully committed to its implementation without any dilution. The resolution, ENPO stated, was in line with the decision adopted during the consultative and coordination meeting with the Eastern Naga National Workers’ Forum on April 16, 2026.
The meeting further resolved that all political leaders from Eastern Nagaland, irrespective of party affiliation, would shoulder the responsibility of pursuing the implementation and materialisation of the MoA through their respective political party platforms and ensure that it is implemented without further delay.
The house also unanimously resolved that in the event of failure to implement the MoA, political party leaders from Eastern Nagaland would respond to the call of ENPO and stand united in the larger interest of the people of Eastern Nagaland.
