Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) has expressed deep concern over the circulation of “numerous unauthenticated and misleading reports” on various media platforms regarding the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue.
ENPO through its media cell asserted that such unverified information not only created confusion among the public, but also undermined the seriousness of the ongoing matter.
In this regard, ENPO has strongly cautioned the public and media fraternity that only official statements, notifications, or press releases originating from ENPO should be considered authentic. “Any news or information not issued directly by ENPO must be treated as unofficial, unreliable, and misleading,” ENPO stated.
Further, ENPO has directed all individuals, media houses, Youtubers and organizations to refrain from publishing or propagating unverified reports on the FNT issue. ENPO warned that failure to comply could invite necessary action in the interest of protecting the integrity of the movement and safeguarding public trust.
