ENPUD conducts social work in Dimapur

DIMAPUR: The Eastern Nagaland People’s Union, Dimapur (ENPUD) conducted a social work programme at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Dimapur on Saturday.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by N. T. Thamlong Phom ,president ENPUD, followed by a one minute silent prayer in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the recent landslide in Mon district. The initiative aimed to promote cleanliness and civic responsibility while setting a positive example for other government offices across the district. As the DC’s Office serves as the principal administrative hub of Dimapur, the effort was intended to encourage both government and private institutions to maintain a clean, healthy and well kept environment, particularly during the monsoon season which is prone to calamities and disasters.
Around 100 members from all eight tribal units, ENWOD and DENSU participated in the social work from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
