ENSF new team assumes office; seeks support

DIMAPUR

The Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF) conducted its official handing and taking over programme on May 30, at its sub-office, DUDA guest house in Kohima. The event, was attended by presidents and officials from all federating units of ENSF, alongside advisors and former leaders of the Federation.
The newly constituted team of the ENSU will be led by Nuheymong Yimkhiung as President, Pusho P and Y. Sithrongba as vice presidents. James Konyak as general secretary, while B. Imlongchaba will take charge as finance secretary.
In his farewell address, the outgoing president, Chingmak Chang, expressed his profound gratitude to the eight foundational units of ENSF.
He reflected on the challenges faced during his tenure and highlighted the importance of continued dedication in upholding the legacy of ENSF. Chang also emphasized the need for serious deliberations on vital issues, such as the Frontier Naga Territory (FNT).
In his speech, The newly inducted president, Nuheymong Yimkhiung, took the floor for his inaugural address, where he thanked the outgoing team and senior leaders for their guidance in preparing him for leadership. He appealed to the former leaders, federating units, and elders to continue their support to the new leadership team for a successful tenure.
An advisory message was delivered by advisor to ENSF, Changsang Soted, who commended the outgoing team for their achievements and contributions. He reminded the gathering that the responsibilities within ENSF are continuous, requiring resilience, humility, and a willingness to accept constructive criticism.
Soted also emphasized that the primary focus of the federation must always remain the welfare of the student community.
A brief address on behalf of the federating units was given by president, TSU Temong, Y. Tikhir, followed by a special prayer for both the outgoing and incoming teams by pastor, SBLK, Thsadongse Sangtam.
