ENSF urges state government to check price rise in markets

Taking into consideration the escalating prices of essential commodities affecting the economically weaker sections, the Eastern Nagas Students Federation (ENSF) has appealed the state government and competent authorities to take proactive role to prevent such unethical price rises in the state markets.

A press release from ENSF vice president Manpang K Wangyen and assistant general secretary Khumo P stated that a number of complaints have been brought to the office of ENSF that some business community were taking undue advantage of the current pandemic by exponentially and unreasonably increasing the prices of essential commodities. While cautioning those business person(s) taking undue advantage of the crisis to be ethical and more responsible towards the society at this time and juncture of pandemic, the ENSF has also fully empowered all its six federating units to look into the matter and initiate necessary course of action in their respective jurisdiction. Central Nagaland Students’ Association (CNSA) also extended help by providing many essential relief items through ENSF to the Eastern Nagas as good will gesture.
