ENSU ultimatum on DoSE

DIMAPUR, SEP 5 (NPN)

Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has served an ultimatum on the department of school education (DoSE) to immediately retain/deploy teachers in the schools of Eastern Nagaland that were left without relievers during recent teachers’ rationalisation.
In an ultimatum to the commissioner & secretary school education, ENSF president Nuheymong Yim and secretary general James Konyak expressed deep concern over the recent rationalisation of teachers, wherein a number of teachers were transferred out from the schools of Eastern Nagaland without any reliever against the sanctioned post.
ENSF stated that because of the exercise many schools have been left without subject teachers, severely hampering the academic of students. ENSF reminded that it had submitted a representation to the department on August 26, 2025 for immediate retention/redeployment of relievers, only to be left unheeded.
Therefore, ENSF has served a seven-day ultimatum on the department to address its demands. Failure to meet its demands, ENSF cautioned that it would be left with no other option but launch phase-wise agitation.
