Without mentioning any particular instance, Nagaland and Assam Governor, P.B. Acharya urged chief minister T.R. Zeliang to ensure that there was no difference in opinion among the elected members, which would interrupt development.
“The main agenda of our Government should be the peace and the development and there should be unity of the people and the elected members”, he said.
Congratulating chief minister and the council of ministers on completion of two years of the DAN-III government, including all elected members who have been extending cooperation and support to run the government, Acharya noted that the people of Nagaland had given a huge mandate and showed confidence on Zeliang.
He further appealed Zeliang to live up to the expectations of the people with greater responsibility. He reiterated saying “Our unity is the essential part for the success of peace talks”.
