‘Enterprise Readiness Support Workshop 2.0’ in Longleng

DIMAPUR: Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM), Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), conducted Enterprise Readiness Support Workshop 2.0, a two day programme held on May 8 and 9, 2025 at VCC & VDB Association Complex, Longleng, aimed at strengthening enterprise capabilities among micro business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Delivering the opening remarks, EAC Longleng, Imkongnukla Ao, underscored entrepreneurship as a pathway for economic growth and urged participants to build confidence, adopt open minded approaches, and proactively seek opportunities to improve their future.
The workshop covered structured themes designed to build both foundational understanding and practical skills in enterprise development. Sessions on Enterprise Readiness and Compliances focused on ownership of business, entrepreneurial mindset, and dispelling myths around entrepreneurship. Participants were introduced to compliance requirements including business registration, licensing, taxation, GST basics, banking practices, employee aspects, and pitch deck preparation.
A session on Going Digital highlighted the importance of leveraging social media, online payment systems, and mobile technology for marketing, stressing consistency in digital presence and building trust with customers. Credit Linkages sessions focused on the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI), covering eligibility, documentation, DPR preparation, subsidy structures, and loan repayment mechanisms.
On the second day, sessions on Business Operations and Risk Management and Financial Awareness addressed unit economics, cost identification, invoice preparation, accounting tools, and banking best practices. Participants were also guided on loan processes, documentation, verification mechanisms, and financing options. The Growth Strategy session emphasized roadmap based planning for scaling enterprises.
The programme concluded with participants presenting their business ideas through pitch decks and presentations, followed by a certification ceremony for those who completed the training.
NSEDM stated that the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to build entrepreneurial capacity at the grassroots level, equipping local entrepreneurs with practical skills and confidence to strengthen enterprise development in Nagaland.
