ENVIS course on wild bee keeping and processing concludes

A course on wild beekeeping and processingconducted by ENVIS Hub Nagaland (host organisation-Nagaland Pollution Control Board) under Green Skill Development Program (GSDP) in Wokha district concluded on March 30.

A press release by Nagaland Forest Department Wokha informed that the 25-day course conducted in collaboration with Wokha forest division with resource persons from Nagaland beekeeping and honey mission (NBHM) commenced on March 5 with 30 participants from 16 different villages.
The release informed that the valedictory programme was held on March 30 at Community Hall, Forest Colony, Wokha with apiculture officer and team member NBHM, Nzanbemo K. Lotha and horticulture inspector and team member NBHM, Mhathung Tsopoe as resource persons.
In his speech, DFO Doyang Plantation Division, Chisayi encouraged the participants to continue with their good performance, to grab the opportunity and make beekeeping a success story for the district of Wokha.  During the programme, certificates along with bee keeping equipmentwere given out to the participants for successful completion.
