Epiphany/Magi observed in Kidima

St. Francis Xavier’s Church Kidima Diocese of Kohima observed Epiphany/ Magi with director of Eden Garden Khuzama, Reverend Father Raymond D’ Souza SJ, as the main celebrant at church premises, Sunday. Reverend Father Raymond D’ Souza SJ explained that the purpose of Epiphany celebration was with faith and the bright star that led the three wise men to Jesus. He said the star brightly shining was the symbol of the faith and they worshipped the baby Jesus Himself. He also emphasised on the journey of the three wise men and their immense joy at seeing God despite the troubles they had faced in their journey. Father Raymond D’Souza SJ called upon the large gathering to be like a Magi, to seek God with sincere heart and in return receive joy and happiness in life. Special number was presented by Edikunu Patricia, Eyopile Monica and Keduhole Teresa. Holy Mass celebration, enchanting Gloria followed by Rosary prayer was the daylong celebration. The Priest also explained the traditional practices of the Catholic faith in the different seasons of the liturgical calendar.
