Parliamentary secretary for Law and Justice, Er. Picto Shohe called on union minister for Law and Justice, D. V. Sadananda Gowda and apprised him on the ongoing construction of New High Court Complex at Kohima, on January 22 at New Delhi.
A press note from the office of parliamentary secretary said, Er. Picto had highlighted the departmental activities in the state, while pointing out that need of proper court buildings and staff quarters in all the districts of Nagaland.
Parliamentary secretary also appealed to the union minister to look into the proposal, which was submitted in the ministry, and to sanction funds for construction of High Court and District Courts and various central schemes in the state at the earliest.
To this, the union minister had assured Er. Picto that the matter would be “duly considered” and put up to the union finance minister for sanction, said the statement.
Gowda also assured of all possible assistance from his ministry.
Meanwhile, Er. Picto extended invitation to the union minister to visit Nagaland.
