DIMAPUR: Advisor, Department of New & Renewable Energy (NRE), Er. Picto Shohe, held a coordination meeting with the Administrative Head of Department (AHoD) and officials of the Directorate of NRE at the directorate office on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by additional director Inaho Awomi.
In his address, Shohe highlighted the success of key projects including the Zhadima Solar Plant, Punglwa Hydro Project and the 2×5 MW Solar Power Plant at Hovukhu village, noting their potential to generate local employment and enhance state revenue.
He underscored the importance of exposure visits to other states to adopt advanced technologies and best practices in the renewable energy sector.
The advisor assured officials that the Chief Minister was fully supportive of the department and would extend assistance for well conceived projects. Stressing teamwork, he said the department functions as one family and sought the cooperation of all officials for the greater good of the department and the state.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Renilo, joint director, New & Renewable Energy.
