Elohim Rongmei Baptist Church (ERBC), New Jalukie, under Rongmei Baptist Church Association Nagaland (RBCAN), celebrated its “Silver Vacation Bible School (VBS)” on July 27, commemorating 25 years of children’s ministry.
The week-long VBS, held from July 23 to 27 under the theme “Light Years – Incredible God, Immeasurable Love” (Colossians 1:15–17), culminated in a vibrant celebration attended by children, parents, volunteers, and church members.
Founder of CATCH Ministry, Tamenglong, Fiona Goimei, served as the guest speaker and delivered an inspiring message encouraging the nurturing of young hearts in the Word of God. The programme featured a welcome note by VBS convener Aphun Gonmei, a reflection on the VBS journey by Pastor Rev. Namrong Pamei, and the dedication of the “Silver Steps of Faith magazine” by Rev. Mathiuthai Gonmei, executive secretary, RBCAN.
Keynote greetings were delivered by Ruth Malangmei, CE secretary i/c, RBCAN, and Gaisinglung Malangmei, CE director, RBCM. Special performances by children added colour to the event, which was anchored by Rachel Gangmei and Guduaklung Gangmei.
The celebration concluded with a thanksgiving and VBS Extravaganza Nite, featuring tributes to past leaders and staff who contributed to the ministry’s legacy.
