Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU) inspected the ongoing road construction between Tokiye Town and Khekiye village on March 27, 2025.
According to ESSU president Inito M Yepthomi and Tunavi G Assumi, the inspection was to assess the progress and check the quality workmanship as per the work order specifications.
The union informed that the work has been carried out as per the order and expressed satisfaction on the work quality.
Mentioning that the road was a long felt need not only for the people of Hoshepu range but all commuters travelling to Satoi and Satakha area, the ESSU appealed to the local community to refrain from impediments of any form which will have adverse effect on the quality workmanship and timely completion.
Further, the union cautioned against any individual(s) or faction(s) making any “unlawful demand”, and sought cooperation from every individual/group towards building a better future.
ESSU also warned that it will not remain silent against compromise of standard and quality of work and also any disturbances that could lead to impeding the work. Meanwhile, the ESSU acknowledged the sincere efforts of G. Ikuto Zhimomi Advisor, land resources, for initiating and supervising the work.
