A felicitation programme for the successful candidates of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC), Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) and Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) examinations was organised by the Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU) on July 14 at Aghunato Town Baptist Church.
A press release by ESSU informed that at the programme, 261 students, who secured first division in HSLC and HSSLC, were felicitated while 31 students were also rewarded for securing distinctions in four subjects and above.
Speaking at the programme as special guest, AIG Prison (retired), Khushito K Awomi advised the students to be determined, dedicated, sincere and disciplined to achieve their goals. He asked them to fear God and work hard to be successful in life.
Awomi also encouraged the students to maintain their physical, mental and spiritual health to become a “real competitor” in life. During the programme, the presidential address was delivered by Ghuvika Yeptho while Mughato Kiba spoke on behalf of successful candidates. The programme was also attended by representatives from Aghunato Area Kukami Hoho, Aghunato Area Totimi Hoho, GBs of Aghunato town, Eastern Sumi Sports Association.
