Ecclesia Theological College & Seminary (ETC&S), Darogajan, Dimapur celebrated an advent Christmas on December 12 at the college premises.
In a press release, ETC&S informed that during the programme, resource person, Christian forum Dimapur, chairman Rev. Moses Murry talked about the value and significance of Christmas.
He elucidated that the true meaning of Christmas lay in sharing and giving. In this regard, he urged the gathering that values of sharing should be transmitted from one generation to the other extending its love especially towards the poor and the needy.
While remarking the significance of Christmas, he briefed that Christmas should be celebrated with gratitude as Christ came to save us all.
The programme was chaired by Shomkhun (M. Div. II), and Kanali (B.Th. III) while founder and principal Rev. Dr. Vikheshe Chishi gave the introduction and presentation.
The event saw various presentations by different classes. Highlights of the programme included “The Jingle Bell Rings” by M. Div. II and M. Div. preparatory, Christmas songs from Hosheba, M. Div. I and Diploma I and II, special appearance by M. Div. I, Christmas cantata by college choir, “jingle bell moves” by Holivi (B. Th. III) and closing ceremony by B. Th. students.
Later, benediction was offered by academic dean, Dr. T Ekonthung Tungoe.
